Michael Golding has joined Leicester City from Chelsea.

Michael Golding, the 18-year-old from Chelsea, is moving to Leicester. The payment is 3 million pounds immediately, which can become 5 million pounds (around 6 million euros) in total. Golding previously played for Chelsea's Under 18 team, scoring eight goals and providing six assists last season. He also made his debut for the first team in the FA Cup victory against Preston North End.

The departure of Michael Golding surprised many Chelsea fans, as the midfielder is considered one of the emerging talents from the London club's youth sector. Maresca's team decided to sacrifice the young player to acquire Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City, a request expressed by the new coach, who had him under his command last year.

A separate deal for 18-year-old Chelsea midfielder Michael Golding moving in the direction is also currently being finalised. Golding made just one senior appearance for the Blues last season - his professional debut in the FA Cup victory over Preston on January 6.
