Augsburg is considering acquiring striker Mergim Berisha on loan, following his transfer to Hoffenheim for approximately 14 million euros in August 2023. Berisha has faced challenges at Hoffenheim, partly due to a cruciate ligament injury. Previously, he had expressed a desire to advance his career and had reached the national team during his tenure at Augsburg. With Ruben Vargas departing for FC Sevilla, Augsburg has an open spot in their offense, although Berisha's profile is different from other forwards like Samuel Essende and Phillip Tietz.
