Lecce is looking for a new forward to pair with Krstovic after the loan of Piccoli from Atalanta ended. Nzola is a familiar name for Lecce's director Pantaleo Corvino. He would reunite with coach Luca Gotti, with whom he performed well at Spezia. However, Lecce needs Fiorentina to contribute to Nzola's high salary to make the transfer possible.
Lecce is interested in acquiring M'Bala Nzola from Fiorentina. The sporting director Pantaleo Corvino and the technical director Trinchera have initiated negotiations with Fiorentina. Lecce aims to lower the price and prefers a loan with an option to buy at the end of the next season. Fiorentina bought Nzola from Spezia for over 12 million euros only a year ago and wants to recoup their investment.
M’Bala Nzola is looking to revive his career after a less-than-stellar season with Fiorentina. Lecce is also interested as they need to replace Piccoli, though Fiorentina will not accept offers below 13 million euros.
