Maximilian Wöber Transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach to Leeds United
Maximilian Wöber's loan contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach ends on June 30. He has a contract with Leeds United until 2027. Leeds United plans to discuss his future after the European Championship, but Wöber has expressed no strong desire to play in the second English league.
The defender, who will soon be with the Austrian national team at the European Championship, is currently still on loan from Leeds United, without an option to buy. A transfer is probably not feasible, even though Borussia is of course exploring all possibilities to keep Wöber.
Max Wöber is currently loaned to Borussia Mönchengladbach by Leeds United. His return to Leeds United is likely as Borussia Mönchengladbach does not have a purchase option. Leeds United expects a fee of around 17 million euros for Wöber, three million more than his current market value. If no one offers more than 15 million euros, Wöber will wear the Leeds jersey for at least another season. Borussia Mönchengladbach only wants to pay a maximum of 9 million euros for him.
