Maxime Bernauer leaving Dinamo Zagreb?
L'Équipe has reported that Maxime Bernauer is set to join AS Saint-Etienne on a loan transfer. The 26-year-old French defender, currently with Dinamo Zagreb, signed a loan contract with AS Saint-Etienne on Sunday morning. The agreement includes an option to purchase, which can be activated for a three-year period at the end of the season. Bernauer is the second player to join AS Saint-Etienne during the winter transfer window, following the acquisition of striker Irvin Cardona. He is regarded as a versatile player, capable of playing in central defense, midfield, or right-back, and is anticipated to provide competition for Dylan Batubinsika.
Maxime Bernauer, who was bought from Paris FC in 2023, is in advanced discussions to leave Dinamo Zagreb for AS Saint-Etienne. The defender, who is under contract until June 2027, is considering a loan move with an option to buy for 3 million euros. The player is sensitive to the interest from AS Saint-Etienne.
Maxime Bernauer will no longer play for Dinamo this season and is going out on loan.
