Kicker has reported on the loan transfer of Matti Wagner to Rot-Weiss Essen. Matti Wagner, who joined SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the summer from 1. FC Köln, is set to leave the club once more. The 19-year-old will be moving on a loan basis to Rot-Weiss Essen in the 3. Liga until the end of the season, according to announcements made by both clubs on Tuesday. Rot-Weiss Essen's coach, Uwe Koschinat, considers Wagner a reinforcement for the defense and expressed his satisfaction over acquiring the talented player as a replacement for the injured Ekin Celebi. Wagner will don the number 3 jersey and commence training with the team on Wednesday. Marcus Steegmann, the director of professional football at Rot-Weiss Essen, has reportedly been monitoring Wagner for several years and expressed his pleasure at securing his services for the next six months.
