Matteo Dams Transfer from PSV to Al Ahli
Matteo Dams is on the verge of completing a surprising move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli. The Belgian prodigy, who has made a name for himself at PSV this season, will be departing the club. Although he had a contract until the end of the season and a market value of 5 million euros, PSV successfully negotiated a transfer fee of around 10 million euros. Dams, who emerged from the youth ranks of Royal Antwerp FC, has participated in 27 matches this season, including 15 in the league and 6 in the Champions League. It is reported that he has reached a personal agreement with Al-Ahli. His salary is set to rise from 2,500 euros to 250,000 euros per month, amounting to roughly 3 million euros annually. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that a personal agreement with Al-Ahli has been secured.
Matteo Dams, a 20-year-old defender, is preparing to depart PSV for Saudi Arabia. Having recently emerged as an essential player for PSV and nearly extending his contract, Al-Ahli presented an offer that was too tempting to refuse. The transfer fee is believed to be 9 million euros, with the possibility of a 1 million bonus and a resale percentage for PSV. It is anticipated that Dams will earn significantly more at Al-Ahli compared to PSV or any other club. The transfer is nearing completion, with a medical examination in Saudi Arabia as the final step.
