Matia Barzić Transfer from Elche to Eldense
Matia Barzić has transferred from Elche to Eldense on a six-month loan without a purchase option. Elche mentioned that due to significant competition in their defensive line, they want him to continue developing and gaining playing time in the second league. Eldense, currently in the relegation zone, anticipates that Barzić will assist in maintaining their second league status. The 20-year-old center-back, who is 190 cm tall, had recently renewed his contract with Elche until the summer of 2028, but lost his spot in the team after participating in nine matches. Barzić had visited Eldense's facilities and stadium in the town of Elda, which is 30 kilometers from Elche, both located in the province of Valencia in southeastern Spain. Eldense, positioned 19th among 22 clubs, hopes that Barzić's aerial prowess, physical strength, and ball-handling skills will be crucial in their efforts to avoid relegation. The transfer follows Eldense's unsuccessful attempt to secure a deal with another Croatian defender, Filip Benković, last month.
