Matheus Pereira is officially a Cruzeiro player. The Brazilian club exercised the buyout option stipulated in the loan agreement made a year ago with Al-Hilal. The attacking midfielder born in 1996 was transferred for just over 5 million euros and signed a contract until June 30, 2026.

Matheus Pereira confirmed he will stay at Cruzeiro until the end of 2026. The decision was made together with his wife. The agreement was valid for another two years after the match against Cuiabá.
