Matheus Martins Transfer from Udinese to Botafogo
Matheus Martins is making a comeback to Brasileirão after a year and a half, now set to play under a Portuguese coach. Botafogo has confirmed the permanent acquisition of Matheus Martins from Udinese for approximately 10 million euros. The 20-year-old is returning to Brasileirão after leaving Fluminense, where he was developed, to join Serie A. However, he was immediately loaned to Watford during that time. Without making an appearance for Udinese, the attacking midfielder featured in 49 matches for the English club, netting six goals and delivering two assists. The Brazilian has signed a four-year contract, valid until December 2028, becoming a significant addition to Artur Jorge's squad.
Matheus Martins leaves Udinese without having played any matches for the club and returns to Brazil, ensuring a revenue of approximately 10 million euros for the Friulian club. Udinese officially announced the departure of the Brazilian forward with a brief statement: "Udinese Calcio announces that it has permanently transferred the rights to the sports performance of Matheus Martins to Botafogo. Good luck to Matheus for the continuation of his career."
Matheus Martins is about to return to his homeland, with Botafogo finalizing the details of the operation.
