Atalanta received a massive offer in January for Mateo Retegui from Al Nassr, a club in Saudi Arabia where Cristiano Ronaldo plays. The offer was almost irresistible, but Atalanta decided not to accept it, as Retegui was considered essential for maintaining their position at the top of the league. Retegui was acquired by Atalanta last summer for 22 million euros. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at 45 million euros.
