Liverpool are reportedly among the clubs considering a surprising transfer move for Marseille forward Mason Greenwood, who previously played for Manchester United as a youngster. According to a report from Fichajes, the Reds are listed as one of the clubs willing to pay up to €75m to secure Greenwood's transfer. Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Juventus are also said to be interested in the 23-year-old, who has been in impressive form in Ligue 1. However, there is skepticism about whether any Premier League club, including Liverpool, would pursue the deal due to potential backlash. Greenwood, who was arrested in early 2022 and did not play for Manchester United again, has been working to revive his career after a successful loan spell at Getafe and now with Marseille. While Liverpool might be in search of attacking reinforcements with Mohamed Salah's contract nearing its end and Diogo Jota's injury problems, the chances of them signing Greenwood appear to be low.
