Marvin Friedrich leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach?
Bild reports on the transfer developments involving Marvin Friedrich and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Marvin Friedrich had an agreement for a quick transfer to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, but it couldn't be realized on the last day of the transfer window. Hoffenheim offered 2.2 million Euros for the transfer.
Marvin Friedrich received a well-paid offer from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on the last day of the transfer window and was willing to leave Borussia Mönchengladbach. However, the Gladbach manager decided against the transfer as they couldn't find a quick replacement.
Borussia Mönchengladbach is open to allowing Marvin Friedrich to depart in the winter transfer window, as long as they can secure an appropriate replacement. Friedrich has dropped to being the third-choice center-back and has only accumulated 72 minutes across three appearances this season under the management of coach Gerardo Seoane. In the previous year, he was primarily a regular starter with 27 appearances. The club acknowledges his decreased market value and is requesting a transfer fee in the range of 1.5 to 3 million euros, which is significantly lower than the 5.5 million euros they paid to Union Berlin in the summer of 2022.
