Mario Balotelli Transfer from Genoa to Monza
Monza has shown interest in Mario Balotelli as he negotiates a contract termination with Genoa.
Mario Balotelli's stint at Genoa appears to be nearing its conclusion just a little over two months after it started. The shift in management, with Patrick Vieira taking over from Alberto Gilardino, who had advocated for Balotelli's signing, has resulted in Balotelli being sparingly used. His absence from the squad for the match against Roma is perceived as an indication of an imminent exit. While Genoa unofficially attributes his non-selection to muscle fatigue, reports suggest other reasons. Negotiations between Balotelli's agent and Genoa's management are reportedly at an impasse, and it is said that representatives advised Balotelli not to attend training, pointing towards an inevitable departure. Balotelli had previously been with Monza from December 2020 to June 2021. It is anticipated that the parties will concur on an early termination of his contract, which extends until June 2025, after the lapse of a clause that permitted Balotelli to unilaterally end it.
