Chelsea wanted to bring Denmark goalkeeper Mads Hermansen to the club. The clubs were unable to reach an agreement over the transfer fee of the player, with Leicester demanding €47.5 million (£40m).

Leicester keeper Mads Hermansen is one of the four goalkeepers on Chelsea's summer shortlist. He worked with new manager Enzo Maresca as they won the Championship last term.

Maresca's goalkeeper at Leicester, Mads Hermansen, will be considered should Sanchez fail to convince in pre-season.
