Luka Romero Transfer from Milan to Cruz Azul

Luka Romero has made a permanent move from Milan and Italy to Mexico. Although Chivas de Guadalajara showed strong interest, the 2004-born right winger ultimately decided to join Cruz Azul, according to reports from the Mexican site Superdeportivo. It is expected that Romero will sign a five-year contract with Cruz Azul. The Mexican club has reportedly reached an agreement with Milan for a fee of €3.5 million. Interestingly, Luka is leaving the Rossoneri for half the amount initially set for the purchase option with Alaves. Romero had not been receiving much playing time with the Basque team in the early part of the season, making it unlikely that Alaves would pursue a permanent acquisition at the end of the season. For Milan, this transfer is financially beneficial as Luka joined the club in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer, and the €3.5 million will represent a total capital gain.
