Luka Bogdan Transfer to Istra 1961
Luka Bogdan (28) will soon officially become a new player of Istra 1961. The tall defender, whose father Franko is the founder of the Adriatic academy, returns to his homeland after spending his entire senior career abroad. He was a member of the youth team of Red Bull Salzburg for a year, then played for HB Köge (Denmark), Zavrč and Krka (Slovenia), before moving to Italy in 2016 where he changed six clubs over the next eight years. Last season, Bogdan played only one match due to a serious knee injury. However, he is now fully recovered, and Istra 1961 sees him as a replacement for Ante Majstorović.
Istra 1961 has signed new defender Luka Bogdan. The 28-year-old from Split has spent seven years playing in Italy, amassing 107 matches in Serie B with Ternana, Livorno, Catania, and Ascoli, as well as 6 matches in Serie A with Salernitana. His former coach at Livorno, Paolo Tramezzani, expressed his support for Bogdan's arrival. Despite being sidelined for an extended period due to two knee surgeries, Bogdan aims to regain his form at Istra 1961.
