Luis Rioja leaving Deportivo Alavés?
Sergio Fernández, the sporting director of Alavés, mentioned possible offers for Luis Rioja but emphasized that the club is not holding a clearance sale and there is no auction for their players. He reiterated that there are no negotiations for the player.
Luis Rioja, who has often been mentioned as a possible reinforcement for Real Betis in recent transfer markets, is close to leaving Deportivo Alavés, with whom he only has one more year of contract. However, he is not heading to Benito Villamarín, but may end up joining the ranks of Valencia CF. Valencia has moved for Luis Rioja, according to Abc, as its current sports director, Miguel Ángel Corona, was the one who signed the Sevillian footballer, then in the ranks of Marbella, for Almería in the 2018/19 season, for 150,000 euros, being transferred the following year to Alavés for a couple of million.
