Lucas Stassin is on the verge of transferring to Saint-Etienne. Sacha Tavolieri reported that Stassin has already traveled to France to complete the deal. Westerlo had initially rejected a bid but later accepted after a higher offer was presented. The club will receive nearly ten million euros including bonuses, a notable increase from the earlier seven million euro offer they had turned down. Stassin had joined Westerlo in the summer of 2023 for 1.5 million euros after not getting playing opportunities at Anderlecht.
