Lucas Perrin Transfer from Hamburger SV to Cercle Brugge
Lucas Perrin, a 26-year-old French central defender, has been loaned to Cercle Brugge from Hamburger SV until the end of the season. Cercle Brugge has also secured an option to purchase Perrin. Having previously played for Olympique Marseille and Strasbourg, Perrin has over 100 matches in France. He was not a regular starter at Hamburger SV in the German second division, as he played only 6 matches and 324 minutes. Cercle Brugge aims to strengthen its defense with Perrin's experience, while Perrin is hopeful for more playing opportunities at the Jan Breydelstadion.
Cercle Brugge has shown interest in acquiring Lucas Perrin on a loan deal with an option to purchase. Perrin, who joined Hamburger SV last summer, has only appeared in six matches, prompting his desire to leave. Hamburger SV, having signed him on a free transfer from Strasbourg, is receptive to the transfer and stands to gain financially if the deal proceeds. Foot Mercato reported that the 26-year-old central defender is likely to transfer to Cercle Brugge soon, with negotiations already in progress. Perrin, under contract with Hamburger SV until mid-2026 and valued at 1.8 million euros, has previously played for Olympique Marseille and Strasbourg. His potential move to the Jupiler Pro League could be advantageous for Hamburger SV if he performs well in Belgium.
