Lucas González is on the verge of joining Defensa y Justicia, as an agreement has been reached with Independiente for the acquisition of 70% of his rights at a transfer fee of $800,000. This transfer brings relief to Independiente, who had recently been informed by FIFA about a payment default issue concerning Fernando Baredes, the agent of Joaquín Laso. González, a 24-year-old footballer from Jujuy, concludes his tenure at Independiente after participating in 120 matches, scoring six goals and providing seven assists since his 2019 debut in the Copa Sudamericana. He had been loaned to Santos Laguna in 2023 before making his return to Independiente.
