Louie Barry Transfer from Aston Villa U21 to Sunderland
Louie Barry, who recently returned from loan to Stockport in order to be sent to a higher level by Villa, has breathed life into a move to Sunderland by liking a social media post hoping he’d turn out for the Black Cats.
Louie Barry, who excelled during a loan spell with Stockport County, has been recalled by Aston Villa. Although Leeds United remains interested, Barry has indicated a preference for Sunderland as his next destination. Aston Villa intends to send him on loan to a Championship club to enhance his development, with guarantees over playing time being a key factor. Barry hinted at his potential move to Sunderland by liking a comment on Instagram suggesting he signs for the club.
Sunderland is reportedly among the Championship clubs considering a January loan move for Barry. Sunderland's recent inconsistent form might influence their interest. Reports have suggested that several Championship clubs, including Sheffield United, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, and Leeds, are interested in a January loan for Barry. It is believed that Boro's interest may not be as strong, which could potentially give Leeds an advantage in securing Barry, particularly since Sheffield United already have Kieffer Moore and Tyrese Campbell available. Barry is expected to play just two more games for Stockport before being recalled by Aston Villa at the beginning of January. Villa will then evaluate Barry to determine his future steps.
