Louie Barry has signed a new contract with Aston Villa and immediately transferred on loan to Hull City for the rest of the season. Barry was recalled from his loan at Stockport County earlier this month for evaluation by Unai Emery, Aston Villa's manager.

Louie Barry has undergone a medical at Hull City, opting to stay in England rather than moving to Celtic. Celtic was interested in a permanent switch, but Aston Villa preferred a loan closer to home after Barry's impressive performance at Stockport County. Radio Humberside reported the medical on Monday. The move to the Championship side means Celtic will need to revisit their interest in the summer if they still consider him an option.
