Loïs Openda leaving RB Leipzig?

Loïs Openda has had an excellent start to the season at RB Leipzig. There is no release clause for upcoming transfer windows in his current contract. Leipzig can demand any amount and reportedly will not consider offers below 75 million euros. In the summer of 2026, a clause will come into effect with a value of 80 million euros.

RB Leipzig does not have a buyout clause for the upcoming transfer windows in Openda's current contract. This means Leipzig can set any price they want, and it has been reported that they will not start negotiations for less than 75 million euros. By summer 2026, a clause will be activated that sets the price at 80 million euros. Should a club agree to pay this amount, Openda would become the second most expensive departure from Leipzig.

Loïs Openda has been linked loosely with Manchester City last summer. The Álvarez sale may reignite their interest in the Belgian striker.

RB Leipzig does not intend to sell top striker Lois Openda.

Four years ago, Timo Werner (28/Tottenham) and Patrick Schick (28/Leverkusen) scored 38 times together. However, after the season, both strikers left Leipzig. A scenario that could partially repeat itself...

Currently there are no details about a potential transfer of Lois Openda. He is currently playing for RB Leipzig and is pursuing a record set by Timo Werner. There is no mention of any other club showing interest in him or any negotiations underway.
