Leonardo Sigali leaving Racing Club?
Leonardo Sigali has received a lucrative offer from a club in Chile, offering a contract worth half a million euros per year. This offer is considered a premium for a player of Sigali's age.
Leonardo Sigali will not renew his contract with Racing Club, which ends in December, and will leave as a free agent. He expressed his decision to leave and not retire, stating he wants to continue playing, possibly in Croatia, where he previously succeeded with Dinamo Zagreb and met his wife. Sigali stated in an interview with ESPN: 'The decision is made, I will leave Racing. I want to keep playing, we'll see if it's in Croatia.'
Leonardo Sigali, the captain and a historical figure of the team, will not be renewing his contract with Racing Club, which is set to expire in December. Following the team's 2-0 victory over Instituto, he confirmed that he would be leaving the club. Sigali expressed his wish to conclude his career at the club with another title, having already won four titles with Racing and with the final of the Copa Sudamericana against Cruzeiro approaching. He joined Racing in early 2018 from Dinamo Zagreb for two million dollars, becoming an essential player in defense and securing several championships with the team. Sigali has participated in 212 matches and scored ten goals for Racing.
