Leonardo Balerdi leaving Olympique Marseille?

There is interest from AS Rome in Leonardo Balerdi. An initial transfer fee of 20 million euros was discussed in Italian media. However, Olympique de Marseille denied any negotiations with the Italian team and indicated that the amount was significantly insufficient. Marseille humorously mentioned that 20 million euros would only be enough for Balerdi's left toe, yet they are open to offers starting from 45 million euros.

AS Rome is interested in Leonardo Balerdi to strengthen their defensive sector next summer. The club's French sporting director, Florent Ghisolfi, is leading this interest. Balerdi is currently under contract with Olympique de Marseille until 2028 and feels very comfortable at the club, which values him as part of their project, despite some less impressive performances this season.

Atlético de Madrid is looking to strengthen its defense and is interested in Balerdi. The Olympique de Marseille management is ready to open the door for the Argentine this summer, and he isn't against the idea.

Two Serie A clubs showed interest in Balerdi this winter, including Naples. The club's management had promised not to touch the defensive sector for Gennaro Gattuso, who was then in office.
