Laurin Ulrich leaving VfB Stuttgart?

Laurin Ulrich has been acquired by SSV Ulm from VfB Stuttgart as part of their latest signings.

Laurin Ulrich, a midfielder, is moving from VfB Stuttgart to SSV Ulm 1846. Despite being considered a top talent, he struggled to break through at Stuttgart and spent time with their second team in the Regionalliga. He is now expected to develop further at SSV Ulm 1846.

The 19-year-old midfielder Laurin Ulrich will be loaned for one season from VfB Stuttgart to the second division promoted club SSV Ulm. Ulrich had a significant contribution to the promotion of VfB Stuttgart's U21 team to the 3rd division with ten assists and three goals in 23 games.

Laurin Ulrich is a top talent at VfB Stuttgart, but due to frequently being ill or injured, he is currently not playing a role under head coach Sebastian Hoeneß. The competition for Ulrich with Angelo Stiller, Enzo Millot and Atakan Karazor is too intense. Both Ulrich and the club are looking for a loan deal to allow Ulrich to gain high-level match experience. One potential destination is the Second Bundesliga, with teams such as SC Paderborn being a possible option. However, concrete discussions have not yet started.
