Westerlo has expressed interest in acquiring Kyriani Sabbe from Club Brugge as a possible replacement for Bryan Reynolds. Club Brugge appears more open to a transfer due to Sabbe's contract, which is set to expire in 2026. The club would need to sell him by next summer if he does not renew, in order to secure a reasonable transfer fee. However, Sabbe reportedly is not enthusiastic about making the move. Westerlo has already made inquiries about both Kyriani Sabbe and Hugo Siquet, who have had limited playing time at Club Brugge this season due to the rise of Joaquin Seys. Although Club Brugge has indicated that Hugo Siquet is not available for transfer, they seem more willing to consider transferring Sabbe. Despite this openness from Club Brugge, Sabbe is said to be hesitant about joining Westerlo, even as the club seeks to strengthen its squad during a challenging season in the Jupiler Pro League, where they currently hold the eleventh position and face potential relegation issues.
