Kyogo Furuhashi Transfer from Celtic to Atlanta United

Kyogo Furuhashi has been linked with a move away from Celtic, with MLS side Atlanta United reportedly keen on acquiring him. However, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has stated that he has no intention of letting Kyogo go and wants him to remain at the club. Rodgers praised Kyogo's performance in a recent match, emphasizing his value to the team and highlighting his adaptability and goal-scoring abilities.

An article mistakenly posted on the Major League Soccer website announced Kyogo Furuhashi as a designated player at Atlanta United, which sparked rumors. Atlanta United's president, Garth Lagerwey, did not directly address the move but mentioned that the club was interested in acquiring good players during the winter transfer window. The announcement, which was an error, led to questions about the potential signing of the Celtic striker. Lagerwey, while speaking to The Atlanta Journal Constitution, emphasized the club's strategy of not compromising on player quality and stated that they aim to sign the right players by the start of the season. Despite the rumors, MLS issued an apology and clarified that the article mistakenly named the wrong player as having signed with the club.
