Kurt Abrahams, a 27-year-old forward from South Africa, had been unattached to any club and was training with SK Beveren over the past few weeks. During this trial, he performed well enough to secure a contract with the team. Bob Peeters, the General Manager of Beveren, stated that they had permitted Kurt to train with them to evaluate his fitness. Having reached match fitness, the club then chose to sign him. Abrahams brings with him prior experience in Belgium, having played for STVV and KMSK Deinze, and he had his most successful period at KVC Westerlo. He has signed with SK Beveren for a duration of one and a half years, with an option for extension.
