K. Tobers Transfer from Grasshopper to Aberdeen

Aberdeen has paid a big six-figure transfer fee for Kristers Tobers as part of their strategy to strengthen the team.

Aberdeen are nearing the completion of the £700,000 acquisition of Kristers Tobers from Grasshoppers. Jimmy Thelin has identified the Latvian captain as a key defensive target. The Dons have been negotiating with the Swiss club for more than a week. Although Grasshoppers were initially hesitant to sell, Tobers has expressed interest in moving to Scotland. Aberdeen are currently working to finalize the transfer package before negotiating personal terms with the 24-year-old. Tobers joined Grasshoppers last year from Lechia Gdansk. Additionally, Aberdeen are aiming to expedite the deal as they will also need to secure a work permit.
