Ko Itakura Transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach to FC Eindhoven
Eindhoven is reportedly very interested in acquiring Ko Itakura. In the summer, they made a last-minute offer of 15 million euros. Borussia Mönchengladbach's manager, Roland Virkus, acknowledged the interest from other clubs but emphasized that the club is in control of the situation. He also mentioned that unless an exorbitant offer is made, the club plans to keep the squad intact for their ambitions in the Europa League.
Ko Itakura remains a crucial player for Gladbach, maintaining an unbroken presence on the field this season. Despite having a contract valid until 2026, Gladbach's sporting director, Roland Virkus, expressed a desire to extend it sooner rather than later. Itakura acknowledged that he has been aware of interest from other clubs, including Eindhoven, since last summer. The decision regarding a potential contract extension is contingent on financial conditions; failing which, a departure after the season might be contemplated to secure a transfer fee.
