Kevin Behrens Transfer from VfL Wolfsburg to Hannover 96

Kevin Behrens has been given permission to leave VfL Wolfsburg during the winter transfer window. Hannover 96 has shown interest in acquiring the 33-year-old forward, who has an annual salary of two million euros. Nevertheless, the transfer is deemed financially burdensome. Marcus Mann, the sports director, indicated that the possibility for a permanent move has not yet materialized. Behrens' contract is set to expire in six months, and he does not feature in Ralph Hasenhüttl's plans, rendering a loan deal impractical. Behrens is reportedly demanding a contract extending to 2027, which financially precludes a permanent move at this time. Hannover has temporarily pulled back from pursuing the transfer, yet Mann remains hopeful about potentially introducing Behrens as a new player for the second division club.

Hannover 96 is looking to strengthen their attack. Sporting director Marcus Mann considered former player Kevin Behrens, with whom he has a personal connection. However, the deal is currently considered unaffordable. There is still a bit of hope remaining for the transfer.
