Keisuke Goto Transfer from Júbilo Iwata to Anderlecht

Anderlecht has officially completed the permanent signing of Keisuke Goto. The 19-year-old Japanese forward had initially joined Anderlecht on loan from Jubilo Iwata in January. Goto made a significant impact at RSCA Futures in the Challenger Pro League, where he scored eleven goals and provided two assists over 27 matches. He has now signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2028. It is reported that Anderlecht paid approximately 1 million euros for his permanent transfer. Academy Chief Tim Borguet described Goto as an intelligent player with a promising profile, noting his quality in the box, refined technique, and increasing physical volume. The club is confident that Goto will eventually progress to the Jupiler Pro League.

Keisuke Goto is staying at Anderlecht. The Belgian club has come to an agreement with the Japanese club Jubilo Iwata concerning the transfer fee. Goto had caught the attention of other European clubs because of his impressive performance in the Challenger Pro League. Anderlecht had been borrowing the forward from Jubilo Iwata since January 2024 with an option to purchase. The transfer is expected to be officially announced either this month or the next.

Anderlecht is reportedly considering activating the purchase option of one million euros included in Goto's loan contract. Negotiations with his club, Jubilo Iwata, are said to be underway, with both parties seemingly open to extending the collaboration. A decision is expected to be made within a few weeks. Goto, who is currently on loan at RSCA Futures, has his loan period ending in December. Despite facing some criticism, he has demonstrated his capabilities by becoming the top scorer in the Challenger Pro League with five goals in nine matches. Anderlecht is believed to have faith in his potential and is eager to keep him at the club.

Initially on loan, Goto's transfer includes a purchase option worth around two million euros. However, Anderlecht's CEO Sports, Jesper Fredberg, is hesitant to pay the full amount. Negotiations continue, possibly involving Goto's personal terms. If no deal is reached, he will return to Japan after the new year. Youth coach Jelle Coen praises Goto's skills and contributions.

Anderlecht is planning to permanently acquire Keisuke Goto, who has been on loan from Iwata since January. Initially, there were reports indicating that his purchase option would not be exercised, but Goto has managed to convince the management otherwise. This season, he has scored five goals in eight appearances for RSCA Futures and a total of 11 goals in 22 matches for Anderlecht's second team. Negotiations have been ongoing for some time, although a financial agreement has yet to be reached. The buyout clause is rumored to be approximately two million, and a decision needs to be made by the end of December when his loan deal is set to expire.
