Karim Benzema Transfer from Al Ittihad to Arsenal
Rio Ferdinand advised Arsenal to address their attacking challenges and enhance their Premier League title prospects by acquiring Karim Benzema on a six-month loan from Al Ittihad. Benzema, a renowned French forward and Real Madrid icon, joined the Saudi Arabian club in June 2023. Ferdinand's recommendation came as a response to Gabriel Jesus's injury, which has disrupted Arsenal's strategies. Benzema, who has played 648 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 354 goals and providing 165 assists, is currently contracted with Al Ittihad for the upcoming season. His salary can reach up to 100 million euros per season, including bonuses, and he has scored 26 goals and made 13 assists in 43 appearances for the Saudi club so far. Arsenal, trailing four points behind league leaders Liverpool, is anticipated to make moves in the January transfer window due to Jesus's injury, sidelining him for the remainder of the season.
