Karim Adeyemi Transfer from Borussia Dortmund to FC Barcelona

A report on Monday suggested Barcelona could make a move for Karim Adeyemi in the new year. The club has limited finances and may decide against signing both Adeyemi and Marcus Rashford. The decision may depend on whether Barcelona triggers their €30m (£26m) option to buy loanee Marcus Rashford permanently from Manchester United. Dean Jones stated that Dortmund do not want to lose Adeyemi and want to secure him to a longer contract. If transfer speculation involving Premier League clubs arises, his valuation would increase, which would decrease the chances of Barcelona being able to afford him. Adeyemi was named as a target for Man Utd in March, but a move did not materialise as United signed Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford instead.

According to Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Barcelona have been impressed by Karim Adeyemi's recent performances and are keeping a close eye on him. The club is reportedly watching the forward's contract talks with BVB to see if an opportunity to bring him to LaLiga might arise. Adeyemi’s current deal expires in June 2027 and Dortmund have been working on an extension, but the two parties have not yet reached an agreement. If the Germany international decides against extending his terms, Barca could reportedly sign him for a reduced fee in 2026. Barcelona are said to be searching for more attacking talent and are expected to try to sign Adeyemi if such an opportunity presents itself.

Barcelona have been linked with a move for Adeyemi but their financial situation means they’d have to get creative with any approach. Reports suggest that the Catalans could offer Ferran Torres in a swap deal for the Dortmund star. Torres is valued at around £21m, so Barcelona would have to put another £20m on the table to have a chance at signing Adeyemi.

Barcelona are reportedly attempting to land Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi by offering them Ferran Torres. Barcelona have not received many offers for Torres and would not accept a fee of less than €25million for him. They plan to package Torres in a deal for Adeyemi, who has a transfer fee thought to be €50million.
