Internacional is on the verge of signing Juninho, a defender who has been with Midtjylland in Denmark since 2021. The transfer was initially reported by journalist Venê Casagrande and later verified by ESPN. Internacional is set to pay 1.5 million euros for the transfer, which is about R$ 9 million, spread over six installments of 250,000 euros each. At 30 years old, Juninho has previously played under the guidance of Internacional's current coach Roger Machado at Bahia and has also been part of Palmeiras and Atlético-MG. The signing is taking place just days ahead of the transfer window's closure on February 28, 2025.
