Julien Ngoy Transfer from Mechelen to Sporting Charleroi
Julien Ngoy was not part of Besnik Hasi's plans at KV Mechelen, as there was interest from the French second division and Sporting Charleroi. Charleroi considered Ngoy to be an ideal replacement for Dabbagh, who had transferred to Aberdeen, but eventually decided to halt the discussions. KV Mechelen had insisted that Charleroi take over Ngoy's full salary, which Charleroi rejected. On the final day of the transfer window, Charleroi initially seemed to be the solution to KV Mechelen's issue with Ngoy, but negotiations ultimately broke down at the last minute. Subsequently, Charleroi redirected their attention to Thomas Henry, another target who had been linked with Anderlecht, but this deal also fell through due to financial and practical constraints. Consequently, Charleroi concluded the transfer window without acquiring Ngoy or any additional forward reinforcements.
