Josué Homawoo Transfer from Dinamo Bucureşti to FCSB
Josue Homawoo, a Togolese defender currently playing for Dinamo București, is reportedly close to signing with FCSB. He is being considered as a replacement for Joyskim Dawa, who is injured and will be out for at least seven months following knee surgery. Despite promises to Dinamo officials that he would not sign with another club in Romania's Superliga, Homawoo is very close to finalizing a deal with FCSB according to Pan-Africa Football.
FCSB has shown interest in acquiring Josué Homawoo to fill the gap left by the injured Joyskim Dawa. Dawa sustained a significant knee injury during Cameroon's final action in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Eswatini, which ended in a 0-0 draw, and he has already undergone surgery. His recovery is expected to take six to eight months. The club is in search of a competent player who is well-acquainted with the Romanian league, and Homawoo, available on a free transfer, is considered a promising candidate. Homawoo, a 27-year-old defender originally from Lome, Togo, relocated to France at the age of five and honed his skills at the youth academies of Elan Sportif Lyon, Olympique Lyon, AS Saint-Priest, and Nantes. His career includes stints with Nantes B, Nantes, Lorient B, Red Star Paris, and most recently FC Dinamo București, where he joined on a free transfer in July 2023. Homawoo played a crucial role in helping Dinamo avoid relegation, amassing 25 appearances this season and netting one goal. His impressive form has also led to three international caps for the Togo national team. FCSB is eager to secure a player who is at the peak of his sporting career, and with a valuation of 800,000 euros, Homawoo is seen as an ideal fit for the team.
