Josip Posavec, aged 28 and a reserve goalkeeper for Rijeka, is set to join Primorje from Ajdovščina on a loan deal. Having transferred to Rijeka from the Danish club Aalborg, Posavec faced challenges in securing a regular position owing to injuries and competition from Martin Zlomislić. As a solution after an extended recovery period, the loan move was deemed logical. Posavec had sustained an injury during a friendly match against Halubjana, which prolonged his recovery, thereby giving opportunities to younger goalkeepers like Aleksa Todorović, who had been recruited from Karlovac, to prove themselves. Consequently, the loan to Primorje presents Posavec with a chance for consistent playing time.
