Josip Drmić leaving Dinamo Zagreb?

Josip Drmić's contract is expiring today. No official farewell from the club yet.

Dinamo will get rid of the high salary of Josip Drmić (31). According to Transfermarkt, he is still worth a million and a half euros, but given his 'glass knees' and only 383 minutes in the 'modri' jersey this season, the former Swiss international will leave without a fee. Dinamo paid him about a million euros a year and he is the highest paid player alongside Bruno Petković.

Josip Drmić's contract with Dinamo is expiring on June 30th this year, with a clause that it could be automatically extended for another year if the club wishes. However, it's clear that the club does not wish to extend. Unofficial information states that Drmić's annual salary at Dinamo was around one million euros, which will give the club additional space for bringing in a new major player after his contract expires. Although it's known that the former forward of Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach, HSV, Norwich and Zurich has chronic knee problems, he showed what he could do in Rijeka three seasons ago, earning his transfer to Dinamo. He will turn 32 in August, and it will be interesting to see where he will continue his career. It's clear that it won't be in Dinamo's jersey.
