Josip Brekalo Transfer from Fiorentina to Kasımpaşa

Kasımpaşa announced the signing of Croatian player Josip Brekalo from Serie A club Fiorentina. According to the club's official website, after undergoing medical checks at the club's health sponsor, Liv Hospital Vadi Istanbul, Brekalo signed the contract at Turgay Ciner Sports Facilities, officially joining Kasımpaşa.

After much speculation about his future, Josip Brekalo will play for Kasımpaşa next season. The news was confirmed by the Turkish club on social media. Brekalo signed with the Turkish Super Lig club until the end of the season. The transfer amount is not known yet.

Josip Brekalo, a left winger originally from Dinamo who spent the latter part of last season at Hajduk, has joined Kasimpaşa. Kasimpaşa announced on social media that Brekalo is their new player, sharing photos of the contract signing. While initial reports suggested that Brekalo was moving from Fiorentina on loan, Italian sources have clarified that it is a permanent transfer. According to Football Italia, Brekalo's contract with Fiorentina was set to expire next summer, prompting the club to sell him to Kasimpaşa for an undisclosed fee. Transfermarkt also confirms that this is a permanent transfer, with Brekalo signing with Kasimpaşa until the end of this season.

Josip Brekalo, who joined Fiorentina from Wolfsburg in January 2023 for just under 2 million euros, is moving to Turkey on loan with an option to buy set at around 3 million euros. The Turkish club announced his signing officially after he passed medical examinations at Liv Hospital Vadi Istanbul and signed the contract at Turgay Ciner Sports Facilities.

Josip Brekalo, a 26-year-old winger with 35 appearances for the Croatian national team, is no longer in Fiorentina's plans. He has agreed to a season-long loan to Turkish first-division club Kasimpaşa from Istanbul. Fiorentina's new coach, Raffaele Palladino, reportedly prefers other players for the left-wing position, prompting Brekalo to seek a new opportunity. Kasimpaşa, which finished fifth in the league last season, is expected to offer Brekalo significant playing time. The loan deal includes an option to buy.

Italian journalist Nicola Schira has reported that Josip Brekalo will soon sign a contract with Kasımpaşa. Schira noted that Fiorentina and Brekalo have agreed on a one-year loan to the Turkish top-tier club, which finished fifth in the Turkish league last season. After his stint at Hajduk, where he arrived at the end of the January transfer window and scored two goals and provided eight assists in 16 matches, Brekalo has found a new team where he is expected to have substantial playing time. His contract with Fiorentina is valid until the summer of 2026.

Josip Brekalo is reportedly set to leave Fiorentina and move to Kasımpaşa. According to Turkish media, Brekalo has agreed terms with Kasımpaşa and is now waiting for the green light from Fiorentina. Nicolò Schira, a well-known transfer expert, indicated that the deal is completed, but the official announcement from Fiorentina is still pending. Brekalo, who was bought by Fiorentina from Wolfsburg in January 2023, has a contract with Fiorentina until June 30, 2025, with an option to extend for another season.

Josip Brekalo moves to Kasımpaşa on loan from Fiorentina until June 2025.
