J. Brownhill Transfer from Burnley to Leeds United

Leeds United are reportedly considering a move for Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill. The 28-year-old is expected to become a free agent in the summer, making him potentially available for a fee of approximately £2 million in January. Carlton Palmer suggested that Burnley might either allow his contract to expire or choose to sell him in January, estimating his value between £1.5m and £2m. Graeme Bailey confirmed that Leeds are interested in Brownhill, indicating that he is on their target list and that they are eager to participate in the bidding process for him. Brownhill is regarded as a valuable addition for Leeds, who are striving for promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds United have shown a long-standing interest in Josh Brownhill, a player from Burnley. Brownhill, who has netted five goals and contributed an assist across 15 Championship matches in the 2024/25 season, is approaching the end of his contract next summer. Leeds are mindful of his contractual situation and are keen on securing his services, particularly in light of his standout performance in the Championship. Nonetheless, Leeds' capability to sign Brownhill is contingent upon their promotion status, as international clubs such as Celtic and Rangers have the opportunity to negotiate a pre-contract with him before Leeds is able to present an official offer.
