It is also reported that Bayern have identified Pickford as a replacement for Manuel Neuer and that Vincent Kompany is personally gathering reports about the player from people he knows. Nixon claims Pickford is now the preferred target for Bayern ahead of Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen. Pickford signed a new contract with Everton in October last year, which runs until 2029. Everton continue to view Pickford as a vital player, and the goalkeeper is happy and settled at the club, with no indications that he wants to leave. Everton’s not-for-sale stance remains the same, and a significant bid would be required for them to alter their position.
