Jonathan Tah: Bayer 04 Leverkusen Contract Extension

Bayer Leverkusen hopes that Jonathan Tah will stay and even extend his contract, which runs until 2025.

Bayer Leverkusen is preparing an offer to extend Jonathan Tah's contract. Leverkusen's club chief, Fernando Carro, announced in early August that if Bayern did not sign him, they would do everything possible to ensure he extends his contract with them. Tah has been confirmed as vice-captain and remains an undisputed member of the team.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen intends to offer Jonathan Tah a contract extension. His current contract expires in 2025. The club hopes Tah will sign the extension, which now seems realistic after a complicated week.

Despite the failed transfer to FC Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen has signaled their intention to keep Jonathan Tah. The club plans to offer him a contract extension beyond his current contract, which ends in 2025. This proposal is expected to be made in early September.

Fernando Carro, Leverkusen's club chief, stated in August that if Bayern doesn't sign Tah, they will ensure he extends his contract. Leverkusen has communicated their desire to keep Tah beyond 2025, with Coach Xabi Alonso and sporting director Simon Rolfes showing support. Tah, confirmed as vice-captain, is highly valued within the team. A new offer will be presented in September, potentially making him one of the top earners with a salary of around €8 million per year. Currently, he earns €6 million. If not extended, Tah can leave on a free transfer in 2025.

Bayer Leverkusen would like to extend Tah's contract and make him a top earner with an annual salary of 8 million euros, alongside Wirtz and Patrik Schick.

Bayer Leverkusen made it clear to Tah after the title celebration that they would like to extend his contract. However, Tah wants to take the next step. Nevertheless, it is not ruled out that he will fulfill his contract in Leverkusen until 2025 and can leave on a free transfer next summer.
