Jonathan Ikoné Transfer from Fiorentina to Torino
Negotiations with Fiorentina for Jonathan Ikoné have not been successful.
The Italian press informs that Jonathan Ikoné could take the direction of Torino, which is interested in his arrival. The club from Piedmont is pushing hard to acquire the former Paris Saint-Germain and Lille player, valued between 5 and 10 million euros with 18 months remaining on his contract.
Jonathan Ikoné is being considered as a potential new addition for Torino. Reports from 'Sky' indicate that Torino has shown interest in acquiring Ikoné as they look to strengthen their squad in the final days of January. Urbano Cairo, the president of Torino, recently stated that their goal is to move swiftly in the January market, despite encountering challenges with some teams being reluctant to release certain players. He conveyed that their objective is to make moves before the market closes and that they are exploring various options.
Torino has emerged as one of the interested clubs in Italy that can acquire Jonathan Ikone on a loan basis, due to the domestic loan regulations.
Jonathan Ikone is set to leave Fiorentina, with interest coming from several clubs both abroad and within Italy. Among the Italian clubs reportedly interested in acquiring Ikone are Torino, Bologna, and Como. However, none of these clubs have made a move for a permanent transfer yet, as their proposals mainly involve a loan with an option to buy. Meanwhile, Fiorentina has reportedly received a lucrative offer from the United States, specifically from Chicago Fire, for a permanent transfer of Ikone. Despite this offer, negotiations are still ongoing as the player has yet to be convinced to accept the move.
