Jonas Hofmann leaving Bayer 04 Leverkusen?
Jonas Hofmann is considering a club change in the summer due to limited playtime, having only made twelve appearances this season. His agent, Marco Gutfleisch, discussed with Bayer's sports director, Simon Rolfes, and it was agreed that Hofmann will be allowed to leave in the summer. Hofmann, who is under contract until 2027, will likely have to accept a salary reduction. His current salary is suggested to be high, potentially only matched in the Middle East from the next season.
Jonas Hofmann's contract with Bayer Leverkusen runs until 2027, but he is considering a transfer to get more playing time. A meeting with Bayer Leverkusen's sporting director Simon Rolfes is scheduled to discuss his future. Hofmann has struggled for minutes under coach Xabi Alonso and has been mostly a spectator this season. He was previously transferred to Bayer Leverkusen from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2023 for a fee of 10 million euros.
