Johan Vásquez was linked to Inter in July. Inter was interested in acquiring him on a temporary basis due to the valuation of approximately 15 million euros set by Genoa. However, Genoa would not receive the full amount as they have to guarantee a percentage to UNAM Pumas, the club from which Vásquez transferred in January 2022.

Vasquez has returned to Genoa after playing 50 matches last year, including games with the Mexican national team. He has also attracted interest from Inter as a potential extra reinforcement for Simone Inzaghi's defense.
