Bengtsson arrived in Torres Vedras on a free transfer, signing a contract for two and a half seasons that extends until 2027. The deal between Torreense and Sundsvall was for a permanent transfer, with Sundsvall retaining a small percentage of the player's economic rights. At 21 years old, Bengtsson, who had been recognized for his above-average quality by representing Sweden at youth international levels, became Torreense's second winter signing following the acquisition of Brazilian goalkeeper Thiago Rodrigues from Arouca.
