Liverpool have entered the race to sign Johan Bakayoko and are believed to be in a better financial position than Newcastle. Liverpool's manager Arne Slot's knowledge of Dutch football is seen as an advantage in acquiring Bakayoko. PSV are reluctant to sell Bakayoko in January but will consider if the asking price is met.

Johan Bakayoko was linked with a move away from PSV over the summer, with Liverpool and Manchester City showing interest. His base value is believed to be around £42 million.
